Ownership and authorization
You may only request action on content you own or are authorized to act for. You must not use openDMCA to target content you have no rights in, or to interfere with lawful, non-infringing material.
Age and consent
You must be at least 18 years old. Every person depicted in content you submit must have been at least 18 at the time it was created and must have consented to its creation. You must not submit, or ask us to act on, content that violates these requirements.
Zero tolerance for illegal content
We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content depicting a minor. We do not knowingly process such material; suspected CSAM is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or law enforcement as required by law. Report concerns to abuse@opendmca.com.
No false or bad-faith notices
You must not submit false, misleading or bad-faith takedown notices. Misrepresentations in a DMCA notice can create legal liability for you under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
Prohibited uses
You agree not to:
- Use the service to harass, dox, intimidate or retaliate against any person.
- Submit notices targeting lawful criticism, commentary, news reporting or fair use.
- Attempt to access, scrape, overload, reverse-engineer or disrupt the service or its infrastructure.
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of third-party rights.
Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend or terminate access without notice where necessary. Questions or reports can be sent to abuse@opendmca.com.
