The service
openDMCA scans supported sites, forums, channels and search engines for content you identify, and files DMCA takedown and search-removal requests on your behalf. Outcomes depend on third-party hosts and platforms.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to use openDMCA. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, for keeping your credentials secure, and for all activity under your account.
No guarantee of removal
We make commercially reasonable efforts to detect infringements and file requests, but we cannot and do not guarantee that any particular content will be removed or that it will not be re-uploaded. Removal depends on the policies and responsiveness of third parties.
Your responsibilities
You must have the right to request removal of the content you submit.
- You represent that you own, or are authorized to act for the owner of, the content you ask us to protect.
- You represent that you, and every person depicted in content you submit, are 18 or older.
- You will not use the service to submit false or bad-faith notices.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide.
Acceptable use
Your use of openDMCA is also governed by our Acceptable Use Policy, which prohibits illegal content, harassment, and abuse of the takedown process. Violations may result in suspension or termination.
Payment, renewal and cancellation
Paid plans are billed in advance on the interval you select and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard; cancellation stops future renewals and access continues until the end of the paid period. Pricing is described on the pricing page, and refunds are addressed in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or where required to protect the service or comply with law.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, openDMCA is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, and our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here is legal advice; for legal questions consult a qualified attorney.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. FounderGem LLC is the contracting entity.
